Three amazing wedding photography tips to allow you to get the most of your wedding photos | Nottingham & Lincolnshire natural wedding photographer

How can you get the most out of getting the right photos for your dream wedding day? don’t worry I have THREE amazing tips for you…..

Getting the light right for your wedding photos

Are you having a summer wedding? One aspect to consider is the summer sun when having your group portraits outside:

-The high noon sun will cause stark shadows on the face and cause 'panda eyes' Although, bright and airy photos may be your ideal, having photos under some trees or in shade will still provide beautiful lighting, away from the harsh shadows of the sun and provide much softer images.

-Careful of trees though, if they are not dense, they will cause a 'dappled look' It will be much cooler in the shade on very sunny days too, as bright red faces properly aren't the look you're going for.

- Alternatively, you can schedule your photos for later on in the evening, when the sun is more golden.

Getting access to all your wedding day photos from your guests

Create a hashtag!

Creating your unique hashtag will allow you to see your wedding day through the eyes of your guests, all of the candid moments that you may have missed, whilst being busy.

You'll be able to get a look at photos of your wedding before you get your professional images back from your photographer, have them all in one place, and be able to easily access them.

Book a professional photographer

You might think you have plenty of time to book your wedding photographer, but choosing a wedding photographer is an important task; because it’s a memory keepsake that lasts long after your wedding day, and you don’t want to risk your dream photographer being booked up on your wedding date!

(Fun fact: I planned my wedding around my dream wedding photographer’s availability because I know the power of photographs is for memories!)

The problem with not hiring a professional wedding photographer like me is…

·       You may not get good quality photos of your wedding day, they may be blurry, too dark, or light and bad angles.

·       You’ll miss the close-up of putting the rings on and other photos that guests won’t be able to take.

·       You’ll miss out on getting the unposed, raw moments of your wedding day as it happens. The fun-filled, emotional craziness of events that unfold during your wedding day.

·       You’ll miss out on the option of getting beautiful keepsakes of your wedding day to have as heirlooms. There is nothing better than a bespoke wedding album for you to look back on your wedding photos on.

Hiring a professional wedding photographer is capturing your love story with you within the heart of your day stress-free.
