3 Awsome tips for your wedding transport for a stress-free day! | Nottingham & Lincolnshire natural wedding photographer

1: Organise Amazing Transport to get to your venue

It’s often overlooked but your wedding transport can be a fun way to show off your personality and can easily become a WOW moment for your guests. Your budget doesn’t need to stretch to the transport for all of your guests if your budget doesn’t allow, but think about how you’re going to arrive at the ceremony and leave as a married couple. Will you want a quirky VW or a cooler vintage car? If you want to stand out from the crowd there are wedding transport options such as converted tuk-tuks or get the drinks reception started early by arriving in a converted prosecco horsebox!

If you don’t have room in the budget for fancy transport you could see if a friend or relative has a car that they could loan you for your entrance or exit as newlyweds.

2: Consider your guests who cannot drive - if you are moving venues through the day

How will they get from your ceremony to your wedding reception if they do not drive? Do you know anyone who does drive that will have a spare seat that they can jump in to get a lift? Even if it’s within walking distance anyone with small children, or disabilities may still need a lift.

If you are taking a ride with your chosen method of transport as a couple after your ceremony and before you get to your wedding party, how will the people who traveled in the car with you get to the venue? So if any children, or bridesmaids traveled with you in your chosen transport on the way to the ceremony venue and then you have some time as newlyweds and a little drive around first before the party, consider arranging a lift for those who traveled with you prior.

3: Blackout days - considering traffic delays

It's a really good idea to research ahead of time if the wedding date you want falls on the same day as another event. There may be a major sporting event, trade conference, charity marathon in the area, or even maybe a family member's big birthday. It'll help to make sure that the build-up to your wedding is the thing your guests are looking forward to - and that they are aware of any traffic or diversions ahead of the wedding so they can plan their route accordingly.

Put on your invite the wedding starts 30 minutes earlier than it does - this will ensure people can get there on time if there might be any traffic delays. (Tell people who are always late at least 1 hour earlier than expected!)

I hope these tips help and inspire you.
